Kick ass in your career with the ultimate goal setting guide for Workhers. It’s time to grab the bull by the horns and make sure you’re getting ahead and progressing up that career ladder. And the way to do that is to make sure you’ve got a clear plan, helping to map out and track your progress.
We’ve broken down the best way to set and track your goals into an easy two step process.
Step 1: Long & Short Term Goal Setting Guide
We’ve created a long and short term goal setting guide, covering both your work and personal goals.
Firstly, both your work goals and your personal goals need to go hand in hand. Typically you can’t have on without the other. Whether your saving up for a house deposit, to travel the world or start your own business, these goals cross over both “work” and “personal”.
You should have a clear holistic picture in mind on what you want from life.
You also need a balance of both short and long term goals. The long term goal is the biggie, and your short term goals help you to get there. It’s important to know your long term goals to help give you direction and a clear understanding of your purpose. So let’s plan them out in connection to one another.

Step 2: Three Monthly Goal Setting Guide
We’ve created an easy to use three month goal setting guide for you to print-out and run through with your manager.
It’s tip top important to have your short term goals fleshed out, particularly your Work ones so you can share them with your manager. That way you’re communicating your ambitions and getting the support you need to get you there – you’re not alone in achieving your goals. Your boss has got to help you along the way (and what better way to remind them of this, than sitting down regularly to discuss your progress?).
So my fellow Workhers, I’m urging you to get a recurring meeting in the diary with your boss for every three months, if you don’t have one already. Print out our Three Monthly Goal Setting Guide and keep it up to date regularly.
