Hello world! I thought I would start my blog, The Workher, off with a wee introduction.
My name is Laura Douglas, I’m a kiwi living in Sydney and an aspirational career minded early-twenty-something-year-old.
As an award-winning Public Relations professional, for the past few years – after completing a Bachelor of Communications and interning like crazy – I’ve been finding my way as a young women in the workplace. I’ve found I have a real passion for being a mentor and providing work advice.
My blog is going to be a survival guide for the young working woman. From issues to advice and inspiration, I’ll be exploring all things work related. I’m hoping to join you on your career journey and help you make your way through your first few years of work and through your first and second job.
If at any point you have any feedback, questions or ideas, please feel free to get in touch. I’ll be speaking to inspiring women along the way and if there’s ever anything I can’t personally help with, I will research it like mad to provide the right advice!
